Ginnala Maple

Also called Amur Maple since it is originally from the Amur river that separates northeastern China and Russia. I equate this small tree with Japanese Maple which is just not hardy enough for our brutal winters, so we get to use this variety of Asian Maple. In September the crinkly, deeply lobed leaves become trimmed in red, with green centers, and red leaf stems. The lower leaves will be green for the most part. Woody and branchy.
